[ UPDATE ] Christmas training schedule & training for charity !

Please note the following changes to the training schedule over the Christmas period:

Amersham : closed on the 27th of December (training will resume on the 3rd of January)

Aylesbury : closed on the 26th of December and 2nd of January (really shocking I know…)

Chesham : closed on the 25th of December and 1st of January (another shocker…)

Holmer Green : closed on the 24th and 31st of December (well, what can I say…). First lesson back will be on the 7th of January with Kagami Biraki night (all welcome) – a special lesson to start the new year and afterwards, the ceremony of mochi cakes

In addition:

Last year, the Holmer Green Dojo held a special event in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness. It is a sad fact that 1 in 8 women in the UK will face this most horrendous disease during their lifetime but through amazing research, survival rates are now 78% and prevention stands at 27%…..literally, every penny that is raised saves a life. To mark the occasion, all students gave up their treasured obi and wore PINK belts…some of the students looked more comfortable with this than others 😊 The CKA have decided to hold similar events this year across all our dojos and the charity we have chosen is Prostate Cancer UK. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK. In the UK, about 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer at some point in their lives.

Therefore, week starting 17th of December, all of our dojos will be training for charity. All proceeds raised (including training fees) will be donated to Prostate Cancer UK.

Please come in numbers, have fun, and expect the unexpected!
